My name is Edith, and I’m an Indianapolis-based artist! I specialize in free-handed chalk art for local businesses including Amelia’s, Bluebeard, Stomping Ground, and others.
While I love chalk art, my goal is to create more hand-painted signs and develop as an artist. Examples of that work can be found in the mural, posters, and art workshops I have done at places like the Indy Liberation Center.
Thank you for your support!
I’m a first generation Latina in my family, both of my parents being from México. Over the last 20+ years, my dad has built his art career from nothing. Building a career in art is difficult enough, but imagine adding being an immigrant with little to no connections with a language barrier. He did it, and he continues to make art as a full time job and has recently switched to making murals as his career.
I remember growing up taking naps in the booth seats of Mexican restaurants while my dad painted intricate and beautiful murals and designs on the walls. He specializes in a couple of things but his most notable are his landscapes of the city he’s from in León, Guanajuato,
I do what I do now because I grew up with a parent who encouraged my creativity.
Te amo, pa.
